Sharjah approves new court fees law
Revised rules introduce clearer fee structures, electronic payments, and refund policies for smoother court operations.
The Sharjah Consultative Council has approved a new draft law regulating court fees in the emirate. The decision was made during the council's sixteenth session.
The law establishes a structured fee system for court services, including filing claims, documentation, and electronic payments, and outlines exemptions and refund procedures. It aligns with Sharjah’s Judicial Authority Law, which took effect on 1st June 2025, reinforcing the emirate’s independent judiciary
The council will hold its next session on 19th June 2025.
